Animals know how to survive. For millions of years, they did survival well. Humans, on the other hand, we have been pushing ourselves to survive well with the help of technology. From the caveman with an axe, to self driving cars and supercomputers in our hands, we’ve come a long way.

Everyone wants to have a good life. But a good life is mostly considered to survive well. A good life for many means to have all the luxuries of proper survival. And to survive well means to thrive well. But is that it? Are we not looking for more? What we truly want from life is never answered by our excellence in survival.

We have built amazing bridges, wonderful buildings and started flying above the seas. A wonderful achievement in itself, but at the end of the day, we still want more. We want to enjoy, we want to sing and dance. We want to celebrate whatever we have accomplished. And even if we’ve done all of this, there is something else we look for.

Look at some celebrities having more than enough wealth, status, fame and all the entertainment they can ask for. Countless people have expressed their desire to search for more. They feel a sense of emptiness. They want to experience something bigger than comfort and luxury. It’s called purpose.
