How to Make Your Life?

Enthusiastically I woke up that morning. I rushed towards the bathroom to take a shower and within a few minutes, I found myself putting on the nicest outfit I had. With a big smile and an ambitious heart, I went to the office. It was supposed to be my first day at work. Welcomed by lovely people, I was shown around. I was then given a space to work. A tiny room, poorly lit and ventilated. My working computer was positioned in a way that I had to look at a wall all day. No no, it was not a torture hall. The room was meant for flex workers. I was a flex worker, for six months.


Finding myself looking more at the ceiling than working, I had enough time to think about anything in life. Thoughts came and went. How many hours do we really enjoy life? When will I have sufficient money? What is sufficient actually?


Whatever the numbers are, you know it’s limited. Even the energy you have to go through the day is limited. That’s why we need to sleep at the end of the day. The money you earn is clearly limited and you can see it on your bank account. You know very well that one day you can hit the zero mark.


If you’ve reflected on this before, it means that you want to take charge of your life. And if you haven’t thought about these things before, welcome! We’re happy to help and share our thoughts with you.


As humans, we have a lot of freedom to be the way we are. We have the power to choose what to do in our life and then act accordingly.

But, are our actions always well thought? Or do we act on old habits that don’t serve us well at times?

If you closely look at what life actually is, it’s really simple. You have some time on your hands and some energy to interact in the world. And for smooth transactions we've invented paper money.


However, many of us function on autopilot. We do what is expected of us. Deep down we want to switch off the autopilot, so we can take control over our life. You can start today. Start with this simple practice. Ask yourself these three questions:

  • Do I want to design my life the way I want? Or do I live a life decided by others?

  • Am I fulfilled with the way I spend my time, money, and energy?

  • What do I want to do with the limited time, money, and energy I have?


Those who seem to be successful in many fields of their life are called Smart Humans. They are not only book or street smart, they are smart with what they are offered in life. They are conscious of their time and energy. For them, it’s a holy thing. They decide to plan out how to spend or invest the precious resources; time, money, and energy.


Imagine having a nice wall where you can throw a tennis ball and then it bounces back at you. The amount of power you put into throwing the ball decides how the ball will bounce back to you. It’s the same principle with time, energy, and money. You can choose to watch 4 hours of Netflix content, or you can decide to run and get yourself in shape in 1 hour and then read a book for another hour. If you’ve invested in knowledge and then decide to watch Netflix for half an hour and then practice a new skill, then you have made clear decisions on what will bounce back to you.


It’s your call now. It is totally up to you. Throw yourself with force and bounce back stronger. This is called making your own life. Of course you can stand still and remain wherever you are, but do not blame the world. Life is your own making.
